Austin's Colony Roadwork Alert

July 9 Update from the City of Bryan:

Knife River, working for the City of Bryan, has begun preparation work to overlay Austin’s Colony Parkway between Boonville Road (F.M .158) and Harvey Mitchell Elementary School.

Work will include wedge grinding the street at the curb lines, milling asphalt at the intersection of Boonville Road and placing an asphalt overlay throughout the project limits.

Austin's Colony Parkway will continue to be accessible during construction with traffic being routed around machinery and crews by signage, cones and/or flaggers. At times, traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction on adjacent lanes, while crews work on the other side of the median. Drivers are asked to slow down around construction signage, equipment and crews, obey all detours and flaggers and proceed with caution in the work zone.

This work is part of Bryan’s $2.8 million annual street maintenance contract.
